Abstract: This study is about the assessment of job satisfaction and employee performance at Addis Pharmaceutical Factory. It is a survey research. The target population of the study was employees working at different departments/branches of the company. A sample size of 156 out of 780 employees was taken. The relevant data was collected through survey questionnaire with stratified random sampling technique for distributing the survey questionnaires. The main purpose was to collect data on motivational factors’ influence on job satisfaction and hence employee performance. The response rate for the study was 87% from the distributed questionnaires. The data was analyzed mainly by using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis and the proposed hypotheses were tested and most of them were accepted. Major findings of the study revealed that the impact of motivational factors on job satisfaction was positive and significant. Based on this the researcher concluded that motivational factors significantly predict the job satisfaction of employees. In addition some recommendations that might enable the company stay competitive in this volatile and dynamic environment are presented based on the results of the study.
