Abstract: The study was designed to explore the practices of compensation management at JSI. To do so, the study has been conducted by employing qualitative and quantitative descriptive survey method with the instruments of questionnaire and interview. It has used data collected from 39 employees’ who are selected by using availability sampling technique. The results of the study suggest that the overall assessment of employees’ satisfaction with the compensation practice was found to be satisfactory. Areas identified as high level of satisfaction were timely payment of monthly salary and staff compensation level being comparable with other NGOs. Most of the study participants have indicated that they do not have intention to leave the organization looking for better pay. The research also revealed the existence of low level of satisfaction on areas like JSI does not conduct regular salary survey to adjust salary and benefits according to the market. Moreover JSI was found to be poor in maintaining internal equity on compensation. Based on the above positive findings, the researcher has concluded that the compensation practice of JSI is satisfactory. However, it is also important for JSI to take action on some of the issues raised by the employees. Therefore, it is recommended that JSI should regularly conduct salary and benefit survey and remain competitive in the market as related to compensation. Moreover, JSI should work hard to keep the staff motivated and make sure both internal and external equities are maintained.
