Abstract: Organizations see diversity as a competitive advantage that brings economic benefits when diversity is realigned to the strategic business goals of the organizations. This study sought to find out the impact of workforce diversity on employee work performance, in UNESCO Addis Ababa Liaison office. In the context of this study the term workforce diversity was defined as the similarities and differences among employees in terms of ethnic background, gender and age. The study labelled the target population which comprised of employees of the UNESCO Addis Ababa Liaison Office. The researcher adopted Censes technique which is non-probability sampling method. The researcher targeted all employees which are 52 in number. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The data which were collected through questionnaires was analyzed by using SPSS. The result reviled that there is a strong and positive relationship between ethnicity and employee performance. And also, there is weak positive relationship between age and employee performance but not significant. Furthermore it was found that there is strong positive relationship between gender and employee performance. The study indicated that workforce diversity is well accepted in UNESCO Addis Ababa Liaison Office.
