Abstract: Training programs are essential to solve intricate business challenges and play basic role in any organization for improving the quality of employee’s performance. It should be evaluated to measure its effectiveness. Therefore, here the Purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of training program undertaken by Lion International Bank S.C. The study uses Cross sectional survey with a total of 245 samples. Both Primary and secondary data were used by the researcher. The primary data was collected through close-ended questioner .the questioner were composed of structured questions and measured using Likert scale. The data collected from the questioner has been analyzed quantitatively with SPSS version. The research design is descriptive design and all the city branch employees are used as a Population for the study. Cluster sampling is used to select samples in which all the employees of the randomly selected branches are taken as a sample. Findings are presented by descriptive statistics of mean and Std. deviation and tables, frequencies and modes. The study shows some weaknesses on the effectiveness of the overall training program of the bank and it provides useful information to Human resource managers, Human resource policy decision makers
