Abstract: Organizational culture is the most researched area in organizational literature, but there is a dearth of literature on the assessment of organizational culture by using Denison’s Organizational Culture Model in Ethiopia particularly on banking sector. The purpose of this research was to assess organizational culture in the case of Oromia International Bank’s Head Office Processes and Addis Ababa District Offices. To assess the existing organizational culture, the study executed quantitative method of research to apply descriptive research design. The study used Denison’s Organizational Culture traits (involvement, consistency, adaptability and mission. By disproportionate stratified random sampling, primary data about organizational culture was collected from 159 employees by using Denison Organizational Culture Survey (DOCS) standard instrument used to collect organizational culture data. The finding shows that the bank has strong organizational cultural. The finding further shows Mission trait is the dominant organizational culture in OIB, followed by Involvement, Consistency and Adaptability traits respectively. Finally it was recommended that, the bank has to keep on building its organizational culture in a way to make better than current situation.
