Abstract: Today’s dynamic business world requires motivated employees who can contribute their competencies and work experiences towards the achievement of the organization strategic objective The main objective of the study was, therefore, to examine the influence of work motivation factors on employee’s performance, particularly academic staff. The most value adding factors considered to influence Employee performances are promotion, responsibility, and training and development. In this study, both descriptive and explanatory research designs have been applied Correlation and regression analyses are used to show the relationship between promotion, responsibility, and training and development and Employee performance. Quantitative approach is used which entailed structured questionnaires being distributed to respondents. The sample size was 149 which are derived from a target population of 155 employees through a random stratified sampling method. The response rate is 76.6%. Finally, the data collected was analyzed by using a statistical package for social science (SPSS). The result shows the model reaches statistically significant with an R square value of 34.9%. This means 34.9% of the variation in employees performance is accounted for by the variation of training and development in Medical College academic staffs. The researcher suggested that Medical College should review its work motivational system with a view to create work environment that inspire the staff members to do their jobs in a way to better satisfy customers
