dc.description.abstractThe Effectivenessof Educational Leadership Practice in The Case of Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City Secondary School.The purpose of the study was to examine the practices of government secondary school principals’ leadership in Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City Addis Ababa. The study employed a descriptive survey method and was conducted in three secondary schools. To collect the relevant data questionnaire and interviews were used during the study. Data was gathered from 51 teachers, 3 school principals, and 2 vice principals. The participants of the study were selected conveniently based on their responsibility.The review of literature focused on leadership in education within this concept, the concept of leadership, the theoretical background of leadership, leadership styles, leadership skills of leaders, and managerial functions of school leadership. The descriptive survey method was supported by a qualitative study that was employed to study the practices. To collect the relevant data questionnaire of both closed and open-ended questions was used and interviews were conducted during the study.Accordingly, a questionnaire was prepared to be filled by teachers, and interviews were administered to Sub-City principals and vice-principals. The data obtained through questionnaires were analyzed using statistical tools such as the mean. Based on these findings, principals are less effective in their leadership due to a lack of experience and qualification in the professionen_US
