Abstract: | The main objective of this study was to assess the practice of Corporate Social Responsibility
(CSR) in Abyssinia Plastic Water Bottling Company. To achieve, the overall objective, the study
specifically focused on addressing basic study areas such as economic, legal, ethical, and
philanthropic responsibilities. To address those basic study areas relevant data were collected
from employee and management bodies using structured questionnaires and interviews.
Accordingly, 127 participants, out of 185 total populations, were selected using the Stratified
sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive data analysis methods.
In this regard, the finding implied that, though, Abyssinia Plastic Water Bottling exercises CSR,
there are limitations implementation of the CSR activities guided by well-organized rules and
regulations. The finding of this research was a strong commitment to ethical decision-making,
emphasizing the establishment of a transparent and accountable organizational culture, placing
a robust emphasis on economic responsibilities, and aligning with its commitment to balancing
economic growth with social and environmental considerations. Despite its commitment, the
company faces challenges in implementing CSR due to limited awareness, insufficient resources,
and difficulties in measuring the impact of initiatives. The company is actively participating in
philanthropic endeavors that extend beyond legal obligations, contributing positively to societal
needs. This enhances the company's social impact and reflects a commitment to making a
meaningful difference in the community. |
