Abstract: | Recruitment and selection is the process of searching and obtaining of potential candidates. The research focuses on the practices and challenges of recruitment and selection at KOSPI PLC. The design of the study was descriptive research design. The researcher used quantitative research approach in order to analyses data’s obtained through questionnaire. The target population of the study was 160 employees and managers who work in different departments, all of them were selected in order to increase the reliability of the study. The researcher used both primary and secondary sources of data. The primary source of data was the data obtained from the questionnaire. The secondary data was collected from published and related literatures, website of the organization and internet. The findings of the study shows that recruitment and selection policy of KOSPI was not implemented appropriately. The result indicated that there was a gap existed for posting job on notice board, practicing E-recruitment appropriately and lack of using educational institutions as external source of recruitment which requires serious attention. The geographical location of the organization and suffering from fake qualification were the major challenges of recruitment and selection process of KOSPI. Thus KOSPI needs to revise its recruitment and selection policy and state clear budget in recruitment and selection process. The management needs to put its decision to relocate its work environment and investigate the qualifications of its applicants and employees by collaborating ministry of education to cease fake qualification |
