Abstract: | This study was designed to assess the impact of training on staff performance in Dashen Bank S.C. The methodologies used to undertake the study involved both primary and secondary data collection instruments. The study found out that there is a strong corelation between targeted staff training and job performance. Close and systematic integration of staff training with performance planning and evaluation could maximize the benefits of training in terms of enhancing the efficiency of both the individual staff members as well as the organization. Thus, strategic investment in staff training remains crucial for Dashen bank's continued growth and adaptation in the competitive banking sector. The study, through an investigation of the link between staff training and staff performance, seeks to contribute to the body of knowledge on the need for and modalities of strategic investment in performance driven staff development by all organizations, particularly the dynamic banking sector in Ethiopia |
