dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to assess the use of the online trading on ECX operational
practice. To cop up the fast growing of technology and to avoid the possible obstacles that the
market is facing also to encompass the remote areas, ECX has implemented an integrated online
trading system that has been believed to improve the level of overall ECX operational practice.
This study used descriptive research design. A sample selected by a convenience sampling
method and data was collected through a structured questionnaire intending to identify their
perception towards the online trading. Out of 279 structured questionnaires distributed to
respondents 200 were collected, which maintained 71.6% response rate. The study was limited to
only Central Addis Ababa Zone trading center. It was found that all factors of online trading
positively correlated to ECX operational practice. Perceived use is the strongest factor affecting
the ECX operational practice.The Regression analysis predicted the extent that the adaption of
online trading has significant effect on ECX operational practices. This study confirmed
empirically that the adaption of online trading has an impact on ECX operational practice and
hence, it is recommended to enhance its model by constantly upgrading the system and training
the users,built a mechanisms that helps the organization eliminate the collusion more effectively. | en_US |
